Two priests from Dunkeld Diocese were among the Jubilarians who were among the guests of Scots College Rome last week, on the Feast of St Andrew – with time too for a photo with the Holy Father.
Mgr Aldo Angelosanto, who marks his 50th anniversary, and Canon Steven Mulholland, on his 25th anniversary, were welcomed by the College’s Rector, Fr Mark Cassidy, for Mass in the chapel of the English Beda College, the Scot’s temporary home during their search for new premises in the Eternal City..
A spokesman for Scots College said, “We commemorated on Thursday the feast day of St. Andrew, the national patron as well as the patron of our college. Among the guests we were delighted to welcome all four Scottish jubilarians who had travelled to Rome to join us for the festivities.”
“We would like to congratulate these priests once more on their combined 160 years of service: Mgr Charlie Cavanagh (60), Mgr Aldo Angelosanto (50), Canon Steven Mulholland (25), and Fr. Krzysztof Garwolinski (25).”
“The feast day offers us a chance to express our gratitude to all of our colleagues and friends in the city and beyond who support us in everything we do, as well as to celebrate the College’s primary task of forming men for mission as priests in our own land.”
