‘Come Back to Me’ was the message sent out by Canon Tom Shields on the launch of his new parish website in Crieff.
As well as all the conventional contact details, Mass times and church bulletin, Canon Tom has used the opportunity to reach out, with a weekly blog and an online forum, to people who are searching for faith, or have perhaps lost it and wish to return to the Church.
Now he has added a video reflection to the growing number of resources aimed at spreading the Word of God and reaching out to those who may have lost contact with the Church or those who are searching for a deeper faith.
Canon Tom said, “When I started this short series of reflections before Christmas, my mind was very much on the fact that Lent and Easter are later in the year, and that we were in between the great seasons of the Church’s Year. I have tried to show that being in between times is our human condition. The Kingdom of God is not yet fully revealed to us, and yet, it is already here.
