Guest speaker Sr Deirdre O’Brien RSCJ astounded an audience of Catenians with her tales of fourteen years working in China. Having retired from a lifetime of service to Catholic Education in 1988, latterly as Vice-Principal at Craiglockhart College of Education in Edinburgh, Sr Deirdre travelled to China where she worked with Voluntary Service Overseas, teaching English to Chinese medical students. …
