Bishop Hugh Gilbert of Aberdeen was the guest speaker at the inaugural lecture of the St Ninian Institute, Dundee. The Institute is based in the Lawside Campus of the Diocese of Dunkeld and was established to provide a new distance learning/part-time study college. The event also involved an open discussion with those present, chaired by Dr Harry Schnitker, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute. Later Bishop Gilbert concelebrated Mass in St Joseph’s Convent Chapel with Mgr Ken McCaffrey and Fr Steven Mulholland, members of the Advisory Committee of the Institute.
