Kilgraston School hosted its annual Christmas Concert last Friday. With over 200 performers on stage there was a wonderful selection of festive music to start the season in style.
The orchestra opened the evening in style with a rousing rendition of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, the string ensemble reprised their performance of Vivaldi’s Concerto in G which was last performed alongside Nicola Benedetti.
Festive musical highlights included a wonderful A Capella version of Carol of the Bells in addition to the school Jazz Band performing ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’. The congregation joined in with Carol singing and were even on their feet for the whole school’s performance of the Take that hit ‘Never Forget’. Director of Music Andrew McGarva said: “the Christmas concert is a major highlight of the school year and provides the opportunity for every girl from age 5 – 18 – plus our own staff choir – to perform at the Perth Concert Hall to a packed audience”.
