Mrs Maureen McKenzie, Dunkeld’s Diocesan Safeguarding Training Officer has announced four new training dates for all enrolled in the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme for working with children and vulnerable adults.
If you work with children or vulnerable adults within Dunkeld Diocese you MUST be PVG scheme registered for the specific role you have regardless of the membership you have for other businesses or organisations.
Anyone working with children or vulnerable adults in the Church must be a member of the PVG scheme for the job they do in the Diocese of Dunkeld.
If any volunteer in Ministry within a parish has not attended the new Level 1 Training during 2016, they are reminded they should do so as soon as possible. Failure to attend Level 1 session can result in them being asked to step down from their respective ministries.
Parish priests and their parish Safeguarding Coordinators are respectfully reminded that all those working with young people and vulnerable adults in their parish must hold an active PVG membership and a record of their attendance at training should be maintained.
