The Bishops Conference of Scotland is reluctantly having to cancel Stirling 2015 July 30-August 2 due to a lack of up-take on a national level.
Says Dunkeld Youth Officer, Frankie McGuire, “This is a little bad news I’m afraid folks. Unfortunately the Bishops of Scotland have decided to cancel Stirling 2015 due to low uptake in some diocese. Here at the Diocese of Dunkled we had more than 20 young people interested in enjoying the festival (pushing towards 30), which is testimony to the good work you are all doing with our young people.”
“DYS are now focused on preparing and forming our group for World Youth Day in Krakow next year! I have booked 30 places and reserved accommodation in a central location in Krakow. Please encourage your young people (16+) to secure their place quickly before they all go!”
“For those who will be under 16 by July 2016 I am planning a wee surprise at Kilgraston school in October…watch this space!”
“Thank you again for supporting youth ministry in our diocese.”
